Reviews
“…but for my own part, if a book is well written, I always find it too short.” –Jane Austen
My tastes: In general, I read a lot of YA Fiction. In particular, I enjoy paranormal fiction. I also love historical fiction, mysteries, select memoirs, and leadership books.
When I read a review, I basically want to know what the gist of the story is, what I could compare it to, and whether its very likely that I’ll want to read it. I usually skip the analysis stuff unless it’s really noteworthy for a particular book. Additionally, given that I’m trying to hone my writing skills, I like to consider what I can learn from the author, so if there’s something of note in that regard, I’ll post about it too.
