Music of words

“To me, the greatest pleasure of writing is not what it’s about, but the inner music that words make.”
Truman Capote

I totally get this quote. Just sitting down at the computer and letting the beautiful words flow out unfettered is such a delight. It feels like the words and images are tickling sensors in my brain that light up with color and emotion. I can see, hear, and feel the high notes, the quick notes, the mournful notes, the sweet melodies. I can feel when everything has come together in the fabric of the work. I’ve never experienced anything else quite like it.

What does writing feel like to you?
